CareerOne Best Performing Competitor
The CareerOne Award for Best Performing Competitor is from the Hairdressing Category. Alexis Scott had the highest score across the 2010 WorldSkills Australia National Competition. Alexis is from the Western Australia region. Her employer is Salon De Coiffure. Alexis trained at South West Regional College - Bunbury. Alexis wins the accolade of being awarded the CareerOne Best Performing Competitor.

Evatt Shield
The Evatt Shield is awarded to the region with the best overall score for all competitors involved in the WorldSkills Australia National Competition. For the 2010 National Competition, the Winner of the Evatt Shield is the Macquarie region. Congratulations Macquarie region!
The Macquarie region receives the Evatt Shield until the next National Competition in 2012. The Tasmania region won the Evatt Shield at the 2006 and 2008 National Competitions.
VETiS Shield
The winner of the VETiS Shield is New South Wales. The VETiS Shield is awarded to the best performing state in the WorldSkills Australia National Competition 2010. Congratulations to the New South Wales contingent.
Skills and Sustainability Awards
Under the guidance of the lead auditor, ARUP, the Green Team
conducted interviews with each of the skill areas and gathered data
that will become part of the Environmental Audit Report and establish
benchmarks for improvement. During the competition, the Green Team
interviewed those categories who put their hands up to be considered
for the awards.The awards have been introduced to recognise actions
taken by project designers and category convenors on issues such as
sustainable practice, efficient use of materials, water and power
management and wastage within the competition.
This year Bricklaying won the ARUP Skills for Sustainability Award. Congratulations!
