2008 WorldSkills Australia National Competition, Dear WorldSkills Supporter, Congratulations to Nash Mason from the Hunter region for winning the national gold medal at the 2008 WorldSkills Australia National Refrigeration Competition. The National Refrigeration Competition was held in Melbourne on 20th to 22nd April in conjunction with the ARBS (Air-conditioning, Refrigeration and Building Services) Exhibition at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre among industry members. The medallists were announced at a dinner held by RACCA Australia last night (Tuesday 22nd April). The National Refrigeration medallists are: Gold: Nash Mason, Hunter region – Hunter Institute of TAFE – Hastie M&H Air
A national gold medal was the icing on the cake for Nash Mason, who also celebrated his birthday yesterday. His gold medal-winning performance has now made him an eligible contender to join the Australian team, the Skillaroos, to represent his country at the International Competition in Canada, 2009. Refrigeration sponsors, Lu-Ve Contardo, have also set up Nash with a trip to Nuremberg, Germany to visit the Chillventa Exhibition, the largest refrigeration and air-conditioning expo in the world. In the meantime, Nash’s skills will be available for demonstration among the 53 other national categories at the WorldSkills National Competition in Sydney this July.
